These pictures were taken when I was exactly 20 weeks pregnant (which was few weeks ago, but I’m finally sharing them with you since things around here are a bit hectic at the moment and it’s so hard to find an hour of free time to just sit down and write something).
How far along? 20 weeks! Officially halfway there!
Total weight gain/measurements: 3,5 kg (7,7 lbs) from pre-pregnancy
Maternity clothes: only maternity jeans which I just started to wear around that time (20 weeks). I could still easily fit in my regular jeans, but it doesn’t felt comfortable around my baby bump, so I went and buy something much easy to wear. All my tops are still regular ones, I just choose the ones that stretch a bit more around my belly (nothing with buttons doesn’t fit anymore (like blouses and so). And nothing on this picture is maternity.
On me: Zara t-shirt | H&M leggings | H&M necklace | Michael Kors watch | Revlon True red lipstick
Stretch marks? No. Using special oil and butter every night and hoping for the best.
Sleep: I always sleep on my stomach. But around 20 weeks this became very hard to do. So sleeping wasn’t so good – lot’s of adjustments and rolling over every night.
Best moment this week: Feeling baby moving. It was such a surreal moment!
Miss anything? Sleeping on my belly. Coffee.
Movement: Yes! I felt baby move for the first time and it was so special. It was very early in the morning and I was half awake and half still asleep. I felt something very strange around my stomach and it wake me up. I waited few more moments to see if something similar will happen again and then the baby kick me pretty hard! I immediately wake up my boyfriend to feel it and the second kick was very easy one, so he hardly felt it but I’m just very glad we were together at that exact moment and we shared that special moment.
Food cravings: Nothing major. Except for coffee. Coffee was never really my thing. But all of the sudden I wanted to drink it every single day, which never happened before. I won’t lie, I drink coffee occasionally even though you’re not supposed to, but those are very small cups, only once or twice a week and coffee I drink is not strong at all (I still don’t like real turkish coffee that everyone around me drinks). I also craved for some delicious grape at that period. Omg I would pay in gold if someone brought me real good grapes – those that you can buy at the stores right now are not that good. If you ever tasted home grown grapes, than those in shops doesn’t stand a chance. So coffee and grapes = my two cravings.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Green salad. I’m having problems with green salad since the moment I got pregnant. Not always, I can even easily eat it sometimes, but then al of the sudden I can’t even look at it. So you never know how will thing develop with me and green salad on the table these days. At the beginning things were even worse – I got very sick when I just thought about green salad, I didn’t even need to see or smell it, I was already felling severe nausea.
Gender: At 20 weeks we didn’t know yet. But we do now! 🙂 Unfortunately for you we decided to keep it a secret for few more weeks.
Belly button in or out? In.
Rings on or off? On. I can still easily wear the ring that is always on my finger. It’s super special ring to me and hopefully I’ll be able to share a story behind it very soon.
Happy or moody most of the time? I would say I’m just being me – that means I’m pretty much in a good mood most of the time, but do I get stressed out about something from time to time and react like a crazy person? It’s quite possible, yes. 😉 But nothing too special or too dramatic. Just usual me.
Looking forward to: At that moment (20 weeks) we were beyond excited to finally find out what we’re having. Is it going to be a little girl or a little boy?? And now we know …
Have a very spacial day and stay positive,
