I forgot to show you some pictures, so I put them all in this post called “Just random happiness,” because these truly are random things that made me happy in the last weeks (or even months). So we should start asap, right?
Gifts and a card I made for my boyfriends birthday. Can you tell how much I love polka dots lately? This was even his first reaction when he saw it – “Polka dots, ha?” 😉 But more than anything I love that little birthday card I made for him. Isn’t it cute?? It’s funny, weird and so sweet. Just the way I like it.
Ready for a dinner with our parents. It was such a nice and lovely evening, we had amazing time together and this was actually a day when we reveled gender of our little baby to them. So it was super special for all of us. I’m wearing Asos maternity dress, which I love by the way. And this was week #27 of my pregnancy.
Strawberries with ice cream. Do I need to say anything else? I don’t think so. It was delicious! Perfect snack/desert for this pregnant lady!
Ok these two … I could talk about them all day long, since there is so much to tell. We all know Luna is my baby for as long as I have her. But no matter how hard it is to admit – she kind of likes him more sometimes. She still runs to me, when she’s afraid of something, but he’s most definitely her best friend and she does everything exactly like him. When we’re on a walk, she’ll follow him everywhere – if he’s going to walk on a retaining wall, she must do it to, if he’s going left, she’ll go left. But I must be close at all times or she won’t go anywhere (she’ll just wait for me). So I guess she’s still my baby, no matter what. 😉
Ok this is not something that made me super happy, but I was happy to see the results at the end. In my 24th week of a pregnancy I had an appointment with my doctor. And It wasn’t just any appointment. Gestational Diabetes is one of the most common health problems of pregnancy and needs to be diagnosed as soon as possible. That’s why they make this tests (glucose screening test) between 24 and 28 week. You have to drink 75g of glucose (with water) and this thing is so so sweet! I was afraid I will feel sick, since you mustn’t eat anything that day and you already feel a bit weird (pregnancy, no food, stress, …), but it all went well. After taking my blood for three times, I was ready to go home. News were great – my sugar levels were perfectly ok and I was so happy I could go and grab a snack – finally! Oh and just a little advice if you’re about to take this test: here in my country you don’t get any flavored glucose (I saw in some countries you can get the taste of cola, orange or lime). So take a bit of pure lemon juice with you. You can add it to your “special drink” and it tastes much better, if you ask me. You can’t add anything else, but they will let you put lemon juice in. And it definitely helps if you have really cold water – it’s easier to drink it in those 5 minutes frame.
